Are tables and chairs included in the venue hire price?

Yes, we provide oak dining chairs and oval tables.

are available to use in the venue, however, we do ask that no additional fixings are used including, nails, blue tack or glue. Flowers on the oak beams must be dry to avoid staining.

Can we Hire different chairs?

Yes, you can supply your own chairs in the venue and a storage fee of £150 plus vat will apply. (we do not allow any hire chairs in The Spinney)

Does the venue have heating?

Yes, there is underfloor heating throughout the barn.

Are there disabled facilities?

Yes, we have fantastic disabled facilities. The venue is ideal for wheelchair users; along with accessible toilet facilities. The barn and courtyard are all on one level and ramps enable access to the gardens.

Where can I throw my bouquet?

The Courtyard is the best area, owing to the delicate lighting inside the venue.

We would be delighted to welcome your furry friend to be a part of your special day. You can have them with you during the main ceremony and the welcome drinks, until you go in for your wedding breakfast. After all, they are part of the family! Please ask our team for the animal guidelines.

How can guests contribute to our wedding?

If your guests would like to contribute to your wedding day, we have many gift options available to them. Please ask them to contact the Events Team on 01252 597323 and we'll be happy to discuss this with them directly.

How many guests can you seat for the civil ceremony?

How many guests can Rivervale Barn accommodate for a sit-down meal? We are licensed to seat up to 150 guests in the Dining Barn.

Can we invite more guests in the evening?

Yes, up to a total number of 200 guests including your day guests.

What does Rivervale Lodge comprise of?

Rivervale Lodge comprises of 10 bedrooms. Seven bedrooms (one of which is DDA compliant) are doubles with en-suites PLUS one twin room and two family rooms with en-suites, each sleeping 2 adults and 2 children (1 double bed and 2 x z-beds*). There is also a communal room, The Breakfast Room, for you and guests to meet in the morning over breakfast to reminisce about the previous day.

How many guests can stay overnight?

We can accommodate up to 20 adult guests, plus 4 children under 13 years staying in the family rooms.

Do we have to take all rooms in Rivervale Lodge?

All 10 bedrooms will need to be taken to book Rivervale Lodge.

What is the price of Rivervale Lodge?

Rivervale Lodge is available to book in its entirety for £2,300 (inc. vat) inclusive of The Cornstore Cottage, our fabulous honeymoon suite. Should you wish to just take the Cornstore Cottage for the night of your wedding, this will be charged at £350 (inc vat). (A supplement of £25 applies per child/baby that stay in the family rooms).

We would like to book Rivervale Lodge. When is payment due?

We ask for 50% (£1,150) initial payment to secure your booking and then the remainder (£1,150) is due six months before your wedding date.

Can I allocate certain bedrooms to certain guests?

Yes. We will require confirmation six weeks prior to your wedding date for your final room allocation details and any additional requirements.

Are the bedrooms accessible?

Our rooms are easily accessible, but if a guest requires additional assistance, please enquire separately and also let your Event Manager know in advance. Please note, we do not have a lift to any of the upstairs bedrooms. There is one DDA bedroom on the ground floor.

Do you have a family room?

We have two family rooms, each sleeping 2 adults and 2 children (13 years and under) (1 double bed and 2 x z-beds per room).

What time is breakfast served?

Breakfast will be served for you and your guests between 8am and 9am in the Breakfast Room. If you or your guests have any dietary requirements please let us know.

Can more guests join us for breakfast?

No, the accommodation is exclusively for those guests staying overnight in the Lodge and the Cornstore Cottage.

When can we come and see Rivervale Lodge?

Once we have booked, how do we allocate rooms to our guests?

Once you have paid for Rivervale Lodge in full, a link to the accommodation portal will be sent to you 2 months before your booking. From there, you will be able to allocate rooms out to your guests.

What is the check in/out time?

Check in is from 3pm on the day of your wedding. Check out for both Rivervale Lodge and the Cornstore Cottage is by 10am the following morning.
